How it works

The EXchanger Pro converts the frequency response of your magnetic pickups to analog. The low-noise electronic equalizer widens the bandwidth and captures all the vibrations of your guitar.

Activate and choose from 8 microphone voicings. For each family, adjust the resonance (Q), there frequency (F) and the level (L) It allows you to model any pickup imaginable — or simply enhance your own. Deactivate it to restore your original tone thanks to true bypass.

Plug & play. One rule only: place the pedal right after the guitar, before any other device.

To get the most out of the pedal — the 5 rules

  1. Right after the guitar, no device between the pedal and the guitar.
  2. For passive pickups only (acts like an EQ on active pickups).
  3. When wired (acts like an EQ on a wireless system).
  4. No treble bleed on the guitar.
  5. Volume potentiometer in maximum position.

Reasoned design

Bright, heavy, vintage, twangy, fat and dynamic under your fingers to make your pedals and amp roar with just one guitar. Made in France, robust design, optimized electronics limiting active components.

Enhances tonal characteristics in a pretty simple way

Is it exactly as humbucker or P90 equipped guitars? No, but all of them sound slightly different anyway, so not sure which guitar should I compare to. But it's pretty convincing and what's most important, each preset does sound differently which helps you dial the right sound depending on the mix. I think I'm going to be using it a lot.

At the moment it's my "boost" for lead tones. Using 90s humbucker and I'm pretty happy about it. I'm using it with my Ultra II Strat.

I think it's a good alternative for some elaborate EQing. Few simple presets are all I need. And no - your audience does not need more either.

Also worth noting that international shipping to Australia took a while, but communication was OK, and I was not worried about it at all.

Still not arrived

Paid the VAT HM Customs imposed on the border. Still waiting for Parcel Force to deliver it. Thanks, Mark

Surprising

Great pedal that radically changes the sound of my Godin LGX SA (which has dull pickups in my opinion). It lets you get a feel for which pickup would suit you best! 4 stars because it doesn't come with a power supply, there's no grip on the bottom of the pedal, and shipping wasn't as fast as I expected… 10 days to Belgium and high shipping costs!

A game changer!

This pedal opens up a nearly infinite palette of possibilities. Not only can I use my Stratocaster for nearly all the very different tones I need in my band, but it can also just be used as a punctual tone enhancer, a boost (clean or not depending on the settings) and so much more! It's the only "expensive" / boutique pedal I have bought in a while, and I don't regret it one second. Go get it!!
